On the occasion of the Art Dubai closing on April 04, 2021 Le Marais 101 joined with the artist Mohannad Orabi who customized and signed butterflies by creating 20 different models. 30% of sales were donated to the Malaak association for education in camps in Lebanon.

Mohannad Orabi, born in Damascus in 1977 currently lives and works in Dubai.

 

Orabi graduated from the Faculty of Fine Art in Damascus in 2000 and won the first

prize in The Syrian National Young Artists Exhibition in 2006.

 

Orabi’s stylistic portraits focus on the subject’s large faces, particularly through heavily

outlined eyes, nose and mouth. Their bodies are almost forgotten amidst the motifs

and patterns of their clothes.

 

Solo and group, Mohannad Orabi exhibited throughout these years in Dubai, Beirut,

Kuwait, Venice, London, Jeddah, Damascus, Amman.

 

In 2014, Orabi was listed among Foreign Policy’s “100 Leading Global Thinkers”.

transformation to the displaced children living in struggle.

 

We offered 30% of all our proceeds on the customized

butterflies to Malaak, a non profit organization that serves and strives to support education for refugees living in camp settlement in the Northern region of Lebanon.
